The Ravens beat an 8-8 Dallas team in Baltimore 2 years ago because of a missed field goal as time expired? Cool. Means a lot for the current "winning the AFC North easily" Baltimore Ravens who couldn't beat a good team all year to save their lives and needed the Kansas City Chiefs' help in the end to make the playoffs.

The Steelers lost to the Bucs at home this season. You should feel enough shame that that's the team that turned your "The Ravens are gonna run away with the AFC North title" comment into a hilarious thing to tease you about.

The way i look at the Ravens season is they didnt lose to any team with a losing record, so they won the games they were supposed to win. They were only really embarassed in loses twice (steelers and texans) and they made up for the Steelers drubbing saturday. The loss to the Texans was the worst performance of the year much like in 2012 when they got routed by the Texans in Baltimore. The other 4 losses were by a total of 18 pts.

Ravens also looked sloppy as fuck against the Colts, the team that wrecked the Bengals twice. The same Bengals that beat the Ravens twice.
I'm pumped they've made it this far, but it's a long and tough road ahead. Dial it back and be at least a bit realistic here, man. |

Much like Lions fans whinning about the terrible calls yesterday im still pissed at the offensive pi called on Steve Smith that called back an 80 yard td that would have won that 2nd bengals game

Right, but if they'd played better before that it wouldn't have come to that play.
Plus then they would have played the Colts again (maybe?) and, well I covered that. |

Some moron on one of the espn nfl shows said even if Bell could play vs the Ravens theyd be better off resting him for the next round because the Ravens are tough on the run and Roethlisberger could have another easy game like he had week 9. The Steelers won by 20 despite bell only having 58 total yards.

According to city officials, Rams are likely moving to LA after this year. The city itself is currently pleading with the NFL to either keep the Rams in St Louis or give them a team as compensation.

How could St Louis get another team? Each division is 4 teams.

I wonder if there would have been as much of an outcry if the officials threw and then picked up a flag for that clear facemask on the same play. |

The worst thing to me was that they missed at least 3 calls on the play and offered no explanation until after the game.

Yeah. I feel like the flag being picked up with no explanation is the real issue. If they just didn't call anything it would probably be forgotten about by now. There were tons of shoddy calls all game both ways. Buck and Aikman kept mentioning how it's the first time the crew worked together all year as an excuse.

Although no clue about the status of their current stadium deal or if the owner really cares about leaving. Outside of the Rams, they've been the most likely candidate for years about moving away. |

Remember that short period after the Browns came back but before the Texans entered the league where there were 31 teams? Seemed like such a fucking mess. They've got a nice number right now. Hope they don't fuck it up.

Rams move to LA, add franchises to St. Louis, Toronto, Oklahoma City, and San Antonio.
St. Louis has shown they can support an NFL franchise, Toronto has shown a thirst for football and could become the team of an entire country and the SkyDome is still a premier facility, OKC and SA have shown to be passionate medium market fan bases and football is in those cities DNA. The Saints were rumored to move to San Antonio many moons ago. OKC would need to build a stadium, but San Antonio could renovate the AlamoDome for NFL games until a new stadium can be built. OKC's MLS team is looking to get a stadium built and having the allure of an NFL franchise could get that project done easily. Hell, go to fucking London, Las Vegas, give LA two teams that share a stadium ala NY, and add a team in Salt Lake City. It'd balance out the increase in playoff teams, make more revenue, and tap into the regional passion/loyalty you see in college football. The market for football is almost insatiable. This would be overkill, but fuck having random numbers in the divisions. Last edited by James Steele; 01-08-2015 at 02:30 AM. |
