Nice matches tonight fellas, until I started lagging out when that last guy came in (kicked me twice). Gambit's wall dive is very hard to connect, and even if it does it doesn't really combo into anything. That guy doing the Iron Man/War Machine infinite was a douche, let's have privates next time.
Following my ideal MvC3 movelists for Sakura and Bison, I made two more: Cammy Spiral Arrow: +A/B/C (Goes under certain projectiles, OTG, Air-OK) Cannon Spike: +A/B/C Spin Knuckle: +A/B/C (Invincible except for head, Hold A to cancel punch) Dive Spiral Arrow: +A/B/C (In Air) (Angle adjustable, no height restriction) Counter-Spike: +... - Cannon Spike: A (Longest active frames) - Hooligan Flip: B - CQC Neck Break: C (Fewest active frames) Hooligan Flip: +S (Tracks) - Air Light Attack: A (All elements of air light attack applies, combos etc) - Grab: B (Only standing opponents) - Dive Kick: C (Overheads) - Razor Sweep: No input (Low, OTG) Gyro-Drive Smasher: +2x Attack Buttons Gyro-Dive Smasher: +2x Attack Buttons (In Air) Lvl3 CQC Complete: +2x Attack Buttons Gambit Kinetic Card: +... - Forward: A - Trick Card: B (Anti-Air) - Toss Up: C (Tosses card directly above him to fall slowly, can remain on the floor, proximity explosive) - Air to Air: A (In air) - Downward: B (In air) - Lost Card: C (In air) (Two cards fall from his coat, slowly fall in two directions from point, explodes on contact or before touching floor) - Poker face: S (Throws a harmless card at opponent, quick recovery) Kinetic Charge: +S (Increase damage of next Kinetic attack, add inputs to increase number of buffed Kinetic moves) Cajun Slash: +... - Staff Slash: A (Wall bounces) - Triple Staff Slash: B (Initial hop dodges lows, first hit overheads) - Double Staff Slash: C (First hit low, second hit stuns) Kinetic Slam: +Any Button (Gambit dives down vertically and plants his staff into the ground causing a Kinetic shockwave similar to Viper's ground pound, the farther you fall the wider range and damage you can achieve, overheads up close, hits low outside of contact) Royal Flush: +x2 Attack Buttons (Staff tossed above him attacks) Kinetic Infusion: +x2 Attack Buttons (Grab, charges opponent to explode in 6secs which can damage teammates characters on screen) Last edited by Kalyx triaD; 01-29-2011 at 11:15 PM. |

I've just found out that Europe isn't getting the LE of MvC3. As usual, Capcom are trying to make excuses about not having time or fan interest or good enough content or whatever.
First no LE for SSFIV and now no LE for MvC3. I'd much rather have LE than a shirt. |

Well it's not something to get deep into considering. Very little of MvC2 gameplay will transfer to MvC3. You only really need to get used to the pace of assists and and following the game. Other than that you're probably better served by TvC.

Just had a match with a faggot-ass Storm/Sent/CapCom player who pretty much went through the motions. I started using Cammy to double jump-dive kick his stomping Sent because Sent can't block while flying. So he puts in "OH, OH, OH" Storm but she can't beat my Cammy anti-air assist. I lose anyway because I couldn't keep up with Storm when he finally flew around whiff-building meter and doing her hail storm.
Can't wait for that shit to end in MvC3. |

If Wolverine from the X-Men and Ryu from Street Fighter got into a fight, who would win? This is the sort of question that fuels the development of games like Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. This crossover fighting game features memorable characters from the Marvel universe and the Capcom games library, just like the previous Marvel vs. Capcom titles that launched years ago.
We've assembled a list of all the characters that have been officially confirmed for a playable appearance in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. We'll keep this list updated as new characters are announced, so be sure to check back in the coming weeks as Marvel vs. Capcom 3's release date of February 15th draws closer. See below for the complete, up-to-date list, and check the official site for even more information. Cool that the guy enjoyed himself with Simple Mode. This has party game potential in some manner. Many fighting games scare people away.

Dunno, I have gotten many a person to play this at parties. Including girls. I, however, probably possess more charisma than your average hardcore gamer.

It's not hard to get people to play games, male or female. As long as you've played the game long enough to have the good stuff unlocked and you don't slaughter everyone you play with, everyone's up for it now and then, regardless of genre.
Simple Mode should make it much more fun for non-gamers. It will make them feel they have a chance against people that play a lot so they'll enjoy it more. |

Cool video. I notice that Tron is in the background by Tiesel when she's not being used in the fight.

I guess its hard for anyone to pick a final team completely without putting your fingers on them, but I'm completely unsure as to who I'm going to start working on. I have a feeling I will try MODOK just for kicks, but past that I have no allegiances.

I don't read comics but I just found out that Taskmaster is a villain.
When I heard his name, he sounded like a villian but then I saw his trailer and heard his theme and voice he looks and sounds more like a hero than a villain. The only "villain" thing to his look is the skull mask/face. |

Was a villain for a long time, but in the past 5 years or so, he's become kind of an anti-hero, thanks to his association with deadpool.

That makes sense, I guess.
His powers are mimicing peoples movements and voices. So That'll be why he has Spidermans web swing in MvC3, then. If he mimics movement (which seems to be represented in the game as having moves from other characters) Seth would have been a good equivilent, wouldn't he? There is a 14 page run down of characters at 1up.com. I didn't read it all but two things I did read was that Haggars lariet causes him to lose some health, like in the FF games and Deadpool has a teleport move that randomly malfunctions. |
