NFL dealing with another lawsuit by former players this time regarding teams purposely being aware and active in the abuse of meds in the league.
Some of the allegations include teams purposely withholding info from players on how addictive certain drugs were, some team doctors not having legit medical certificates for certain drugs being prescribed, and some team medical staffs caring more about making sure players kept playing than their overall health. Also lots of violations regarding Federal drug laws. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...d10_story.html |

According to ESPN, Cowboys are rumored to be pulling Tony Romo off of the trade market. Main reasons are due to nobody else really wants to take on his contract unless he took a huge pay cut and Cowboys honoring Romo's request of only being tradeable to a few teams.
Once Texans backed out of possible trade talks, made it almost impossible for a trade to happen any time soon. Only other major team was the Broncos but were not as interested in doing a trade since they rather grab him for free. Fox Sports also trying to convince Romo to retire and sign an announcer deal with them instead. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...tion-tony-romo |

From the sounds of it they basically just did it for the 2nd rounder as a salary dump for Houston, which makes a little more sense
Still, jesus fucking christ Cleveland |

DeMarcus Ware calls it a career.
Thanks for everything from a Broncos fan. Best damn tag team partner Von Miller ever had. |

DeMarcus Ware was even better than he will get credit for. He should be discussed with the best of all time. Glad he got a ring.

Ware was frustrating as hell to watch the Giants have to play twice a year. Definitely headed to Canton eventually.

And that was while the Cowboys defense was just awful. You really only had to worry about Ware and he was still a nightmare.

Oakland submitted a new plan to the Raiders to help sway the team to stay instead of leave for Las Vegas.
Basically the stadium would cost less than the Vegas planned stadium but Raiders wouldn't need as much money on their end for the deal and don't have to worry about sharing the new stadium with the Oakland As. Only problem is the new stadium wouldn't be ready till 2021 at the earliest and league is still expected to pick the Vegas plan. Even offered a reduced relocation fee to keep Vegas on board with the plans. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...n-keep-raiders |

Sucks for Oakland. That shit is rigged. The NFL wants a team in Vegas. They wont let Oakland keep that team.

Pretty fitting the system is rigged. Games in Vegas will probably be rigged for the house.

City of Oakland had all the time in the world to provide the Raiders & Athletics with a new stadium. Or even a plan to overhaul renovate their current stadium. Not a baseball or football season goes by where you don't hear a horror story about pipes bursting in the locker room or sewage flooding the dugout at O.co Stadium.
Raiders want out, Athletics are looking for a way out. It's not rigged at all, in my opinion. Cities these days just not gonna play ball (no pun intended) with sports teams. Others are are willing to complement them. This is just another one of those cases. Last edited by ClockShot; 03-26-2017 at 10:34 AM. |

How much money does the owner of the Raiders have?
And what services would be cut for this deal to work? It's a bloody con game. Hell, Atlanta has been conned twice here recently by this horse shit. |

Owners have approved a Raiders move by a 31-1 vote. Miami was the lone dissenting vote.

Yeup, Oakland was doomed once Goodell quickly rejected the new proposal from them. It had stuff better than the Vegas deal but league didn't care and was already set on moving the team once Sheldon Adelson dropped out for Vegas.
Only team it seemed the league really didn't want to move was the Chargers which is why they were supposedly furious when the Chargers owner grabbed the 2nd LA spot. Also think they were offered the most money by the league to stay. |

At least the Rams and Chargers were shit when they moved so it was a good time to move on for fans. Also, the Chargers moved like 3 hours away so no big deal really.
The Raiders finally have a good team with a bright future and they're leaving. Sucks for the fans. |

What eventually will happen now is sports betting will be legalized and the leagues will get a cut of it to supplement the fact that tv contracts are going to fall off with everyone dumping pay tv. There's really no other perpetual money stream for the NFL and other leagues to tap into to replace it.

It'll suck for the Raiders fans even more when the NFL adjusts the broadcast maps to make the Chargers the main team in Oakland instead of the Raiders.

Jerry Jones rumored to have played a major role in getting the league to approve all three teams to move due to his marketing company having connections with these teams. Also the rumored reason why the Miami owner voted no for the Raiders move was because Jones cut into his business there and/or beat him to a lucrative deal with Vegas.

Oakland losing the Raiders and Warriors will suck for fans in that city. Always liked the Raiders (not as much as the Cowboys) and think Las Vegas is a great place for them.
Are the A's looking to get a new stadium? Oakland should do everything they can to keep them. |

Might have just been the vibes, but the mayor sort of implied the NFL gave an ultimatum of them dropping the As and doing everything pro-Raiders just to have the chance of keeping the Raiders. |

According to reports, teams have been dropping Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon from their potential 1st round pick choices and its related to a domestic violence incident he had in 2014. Dolphins and Pats already came out publicly saying they won't take him in the 1st round while experts think he's probably now a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best.
Supposedly NFL teams were upset he never got a real punishment from the NCAA nor Oklahoma while in college. He did get redshirted but teams felt Oklahoma only did it because they already had enough talented RBs on their roster to not feel any effect. They were upset the most of Mixon not showing any remorse till the tape of the incident got released last December and felt he only did so in order to salvage his draft stock. |

I just saw that as of the Oakland As home opener the stadium will be known as Rickey Henderson Field at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. I wonder if the Raiders get to name it for a player for Raiders ganes

City of St Louis currently suing both the NFL and the Rams in regards to claims of Rams failing to follow NFL's relocation rules and NFL for being actively involved in getting the team to leave.
City is pissed the most about being on the hook for $144 million left on the stadium's debt and Rams breaking the terms of their lease the moment it became possible because of the NFL. Quote:
