Lorenzo Cain got Tanaka's number tonight.
Although KC is on their 5th pitcher right now. This game could go either way right now. |

Sweet story out of Japan.
Former MLB player Brandon Laird hit a home run in the Tokyo Dome in Japan and it hit a sign for Kirin Beer. He won $10,000 and a year's supply for beer for that. I guess there's a bunch of signs there ranging from car companies and electronics companies. And if your homer bounces off one, you win something. Sweet deal if you ask me. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/15...-beer-home-run |

Yankees come back and win. But Cain hit 3 homers in that game.
Which ever one of you guys got him for fantasy, you're probably in good shame in the home run category for the rest of the week. |

Realistically not even Chris Davis could hit that sign though It might only be 501 ft but a ball hit that sign would have to go about 700 ft |

HR target would be something great for charity at the home run derby....guys who are out of it quickly can focus on trying to hit the targets to have MLB donate $100,000 to Little League America, WarAmps or whatever....

If the Os hit back to back homers tomorrow night vs Detroit they'll be the 2nd team ever to have back to back in 4 games straight (other being the 64 twins..the 64 Twins?)

Not sure what's more surprising, Red Sox scoring 40 runs against the As this series or Rick Porcello putting up great numbers this season.

Yankees take 3/4 from the champs. Something I didn't see coming.
This might be the start of something. |

Chapman missed 30 games for firing off just a few gunshots. Never arrested, never charged, and there was allegedly no contact with the girlfriend. But a gun was involved.
Reyes is missing about 18 days because his wife doesn't want to cooperate with the police and we don't know the extent of this domestic abuse case. He was arrested, charged, and had a trial date. According to the wife she was grabbed by the throat and slammed against a glass door and was taken to the hospital. Punishment doesn't fit the crime here. |

ChiSox are in town. I wonder if we can get John Danks at a bargain since they cut him loose today and Pineda & Severino ain't getting the job done.

52 games altogether but he's been in "paid administrative leave" and he's getting credit for those games missed.
Still think it should be harsher punishment. |

I remember when Danks was supposed to become the Chi Sox next ace pitcher. So sad he didn't pan out.

Reyes has to pay that money back from what I've gathered. So no, he will not end up getting paid. Chapman is no less innocent. Let's not devolve into which wrong is more wrong.

Lol at hoping your team signs John Danks. One of the worst starters last year. More of the same this year. He's done. I liked Gavin Floyd better when the sox signed Danks instead. Too bad injuries killed Floyd. Could have been solid.

No I meant Matt Harvey. Vito says he blows. Send where sunny days sweep the clouds away and the air is clean. He'd look very handsome in a Padres uni.

How are they crediting Ortiz with a double? Winning run crossed home way before Ortiz stepped on and then grabbed 2nd base.

Probably one of those little stat quirks in baseball.
Whoever was keeping track assumed Ortiz was extending the play. Think the winning run wouldn't have counted if Ortiz got thrown out at 2nd since there were two outs. Or just felt Ortiz's milestone 600th double would look better as a game winner. |
