One of the main reasons Nakamura came to WWE, was to face Daniel Bryan, and Bryan was one of the loudest voices in the push to sign him. Bryan had to retire a month after Shinsuke was signed.

Unfortunately, this is far and away the best response in this thread. I am actually quite surprised that not too many people in this thread have this opinion. While I’m obviously happy for Daniel Bryan, he’s really taking a major risk here. The optimist in me wants to compare this situation to HBK’s when HBK came back after a 4 year hitatus, but the neck and back are completely different things. |

As a fan of the group that did that song and same-named album in 1986, EUROPE(from Stockholm, Sweden; has had 7 members in their history; were originally operating from 1982-1992, came back for a one-off on Dec. 31, 1999 with 6 members, and have had a stable lineup since their more permanent reunion in 2003(6 albums released since, ALL good music too)), that would be insane to hear THAT song on WWE Television, especially if they could get EUROPE(Joey Tempest on vocals, John Norum on guitars, John Leven on bass, Mic Michaeli on keyboards, Ian Haugland on drums) to perform that song live at WrestleMania, and over 75,000 loudly busting out the chorus to it....good GOD, that imagery in my head....holy shit! @.O
What's also good about that? EUROPE is a group who could allow such a performance to stay on the DVD/Bluray release of that Mania they'd perform at. They're more than willing to deal that way, because they absolutely love their fans, and want their fans, regardless of where they are in the world, to get everything they want like that. I've been a fan of theirs since 1997, so I just know that by heart. XB |

I'm less worried for Bryan than I am anyone else in the company. He'll be the most monitored man in wrestling history

Exactly. Take that social justice warrior shit somewhere else, you are not a brain scientist. You don't know what is best for Bryan in any way so quit acting like a mother hen.

Plus, he has literally non stop fought to wrestle pretty much since he had to retire. Personal responsibility comes into play at some point.

By the way, we are all overwhelmed with Bryan... I want to point out the levels that Sami Zayn portrayed last night. Being a bad guy isn't easy for him, and it showed. There was remorse and regret for what they had done. Even from Kevin but he had snapped and lost all control. Sami though, as evil as his actions were, knew that he had crossed the line and couldn't go back. The look on his face as they walked backstage was incredible. Sami is one of the best actors WWE has.

Personally I could care less if he ever wrestled again but seeing as they've heavily used him for this KO/Sami thing it works out. I just dread when they go to put the title on him again.

I could easily see a WWE title run for him down the line, even if brief. He just won't be the champion on Raw AKA the face of the company.

WWE title is pretty much the intercontinental title of old. It's credible, but you're the 2nd in command if you hold it.

Bryan/Shane vs KO/Sami with Bryan heel turn on Shane to help KO/Sami and be a group would be awesome

Its a ruse to get Shane to come back and demand a match. All 3 really don't like Shane but Shane will be duped into thinking Bryan will be his tag partner after he got beat up by them. Then..wham! Heel turn never see it coming.

What? EUROPE performing at WrestleMania? Why would that not be a good fit for an event like that? They've made music that isn't shit, compared to a lot of other groups lately.
You want to see where they've gone as musicians since that time? Check below. TBH, I could see a face Bray Wyatt using the 2nd one, and maybe give the 1st one to a face Seth Rollins. But yeah....I am serious when I say that group would be a perfect musical fit for some live performances at Mania. =P |

It's dumb. He was just mauled by these guys mercilessly. It would be a surprise sure, but it's a dumb move.

The thing is -- he is cleared. I mean, sports science can be a shifty thing, but you have a bunch of brain scientists putting their names on paper to say that the considered risks are not an immediate threat to Bryan. He's not breakable, guys. And he's going to Shawn Michaels-working-the-back-at-SummerSlam-2002 you when he gets in the ring. |

He really shouldn't be wrestling again. I don't see how this ends well. The head/neck isn't something you mess with.

WWE clearing Angle to return to the ring opened a can of worms for them considering Angle's health the past several years. At least with Bryan he took the long road to get cleared while with Angle it was supposedly a lot more sudden.
If anything, the real worry is with Paige since she now has a lot more false hope of being cleared and last thing WWE needs is for her to battle depression again. Supposedly she didn't handle the news well the first time and had only just cleared up from her previous mental issues due to Del Rio. |

I'm definitely not cool about Angle returning either. Definitely not Paige. I don't want to see another Dynamite Kid situation or even worse. In Bryan's instance, I've seen what happens to punch drunk boxers or former NHL fighters down the line. It's scary and sad.

We are all dying. The best doctors available gave him the ok. You only live once. Let him do what makes him happy if he's been medically cleared for it.

I'm usually a dirty left-wing liberal and have honestly believed that the WWE would keep Bryan out of the ring for as long as they could. This is not the case of a broken man getting back in the ring. The WWE would fudge things and look the other way on some things, but they are not fudging Bryan through in his favor. There's too much riding on it. He's cleared because he's cleared.
