My point was that you can't ascribe someone's beliefs to racism if what they're saying is not explicitly racist. I mean you can pontificate, but that's all it is, a pontification. I don't think it's a far stretch to believe Undertaker thinks one is insulting the troops and what the country stands for by not rising for the anthem. He is completely wrong, but he is free to be wrong. And maybe he is racist. but given he has never said "I don't like black people" and that he has many black friends, it would be strange if he were a hateful bigot. You have no actual proof that he is though, other than your own biases towards someone thinking people should stand for the anthem. It is DANGEROUS to accuse people willy nilly of being racist because they hold certain, non-explicitly racist political views. If you're bandying that about, it is likely that you may be racist or suffer from some extreme form of white guilt, which I suggest you deal with and don't make us suffer through. |

"Some of my friends are black." I didn't say he was a hateful bigot. You'd be a dumb bag of bricks if you think that's what I said. I said he wears racist slogans on his clothing. Marginalizing the plight of black people is racist, mate. You don't need to be a card-carrying member to be an ignorant piece of shit that makes people's lives worse. But yes, you're suffering through reading about it at your leisure. And yes, anybody who points out racism is obviously racist themselves. Or a slacktivist. Wtf? Have you actually tried talking to black people about that out of curiosity? You kind of just ignored Shadrick's experiences in the 100,000 replies thread, but have you considered how uncomfortable it makes black people before you say "Nah, it's cool Taker's wrong about that, to hate it is biased and self-righteous"? |

Imagine if someone shot your family, and your best recourse was to stand outside a courthouse and yell. Then you see someone wearing a t-shirt that says "We don't yell outside the courthouse." How would that make you feel? The only reason that jumper exists is because black people take a knee.

I didn't ignore Shadrick's experience. His friend explicitly said something racist to him. I don't think that's politics, I think that's flat out racism. Sure, he found it out through a political discussion, but saying "black people couldn't be president" isn't politics, it's racism being applied to politics.
And it's not a racist slogan. It's nationalistic, and bull-headed. It is likely used by racist people to hide their racism. But that is not its only motivation. I get you're trying to score progressive points here, and trying to appeal to some form of morality. But I treat people as individuals. If I made a black person feel uncomfortable about something they are free to tell me, and I would likely hear them out and discuss it respectfully as I did with Shadrick. As human beings, we need to be able to talk about these things without calling people bigots for having opinions, provided they aren't participating in acts of hate. In the end, Shad didn't agree with me. And that's fine. He's a cool guy and we had a very moderate disagreement, and I get why he feels the way he does. It's nice that you feel he needs your help and that you're a champion for the underprivileged but its people like you who are as bad as the other side... at least that's what I've come to learn. |

Either way Noid, if you think I don't understand why a black person would detest that sweater, you're a fucking idiot.

No, it's politics. You're just wrong. Racism, sexism, homophobia and all that are political. They pour into one's public belief system as to how things should be governed. That is politics. You don't get to switch that off just because it isn't convenient to your worldview. You accuse everyone else of bias and not being able to get past it, but you define what politics are in a completely biased way in order to start with your line of thinking in the first place. Ask a black person if they think someone saying that there shouldn't be a black President is political or not. Oh, they disagreed with you? Funny that. I'm not trying to score points with anybody. Most of the guys on here are probably conservative or libertarian or something. I know it's a convenient gaslighting technique to say that someone is posturing or performing, but I'm literally saying the most unpopular shit I can say to a bunch of white dudes on the internet. You love to say you talk, Dale, but I get the feeling you're the type of dude that someone will say "No, that literally makes me feel like shit and as a black person, it makes me feel very insecure about my race," and you'll just go "Well, see, the thing is...". It's gross, man. I've got no time for it anymore. You can throw whatever passive insults you want my way. I honestly don't care to impress fence-sitters like you. Just know this: It doesn't feel respectful to the people who have to deal with this shit every day -- I can guarantee you that. |

You know fuck all about me Noid. You don't know conversations I've had with people. I am very aware of systemic injustices and I strongly believe they exist. I simply believe your manner of discourse is pathetic.
What you've said about me is actually HIGHLY offensive on all fronts, but it's fine, you're free to be a giant asshole. I throw passive insults because I doubt your integrity and your sincerity. |

And guess what. as a white man, I'm likely to have a life experience that would lead me to saying some shit a POC would find uncomfortable. And as a POC, they'd likely have lived a life experience that'd lead them to saying some shit I found uncomfortable. It's call life, you fucking mouthbreathing twat.

Just listen to people of color, Dale. Please. When they get uncomfortable and go "Yeah, cool, man," consider that it may not have been interpreted as a respectful discourse, and it may have been someone feeling like they weren't being heard by a white dude. I'm not saying that is what happens in every situation, but just consider it next time, and consider how hegemonic you are being with your own biases and definitions. That's all.

I can't base my life around not offending people dude. If I hurt Shadrick or upset him in anyway, it's unfortunate. But I'm not going to tread water around someone because I "don't know what to say". I understand fully why he feels the way he does, but if he can't take my opinion on the matter, that's his own problem. Unfortunately, with a quote like that we can have no truce. Because your trying to claim I'm a white privliged bigot essentially in your shitty way. And that doesn't fly with me. |

Also as a victim of police brutality(as a white guy) I fully support that cause but as I said kneeling for a song does nothing.

As far as I'm concerned, players are totally within their right to kneel as a form of protest. Whether its effective or not is a different story.

I'm not calling you a bigot, but your definition of politics implies privilege. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think the stuff you said about how you were received by Shad are pretty shitty, but it's not my job to speak for him. I think it's highly ironic that if your opinion upsets someone then it's their fault they take it that way, but when someone's opinion upsets you, it's their fault for making you feel that way. |

I think all protest are bullshit and people that participate are stupid. Live you life and if something bothers you that much actually do something about it.

And I'm not celebrating upsetting Shad. I'd prefer not to. But I can't adjust who I am because someone (even someone I respect like Shad) didn't like what I have to say. If he wants to cast me off (allegedly I don't know his thoughts) as some loud mouthed white guy who doesn't care about what he has to say, that's ignorant on his part, because I'm not. I'd have been more than happy to continually listen and debate what he had to say. You've simply painted him as a victim when he is not. |

I'm a web analyst and report on podcast downloads at least once a week. You can't fire off a sessionization or user-based cookie through an RSS feed, iTunes or Google Play which is how podcasts are mostly consumed.

For clarification: I like Cody just fine, but there's something annoying about how much he embraces WWEisms even outside the WWE. Didn't he even get Downstait to do a WWE-style generic rock theme for him? It's like "If I were an upper mid-carder in the WWE, this is how it would go..."
