This is Team screech, ladies and gentlemen. It started off as "Why do you come in here and criticize people's opinions?" Because it started off not being fine to criticize opinions. Then, you'll notice, screech shifted the goal-posts to be about me being a dick to people. He introduced this by saying something like "It feels like you're being a dick," and stuff like "it feels just short of you calling me a moron." Then it became I am actually apparently doing those things, and that what I was originally doing is actually completely fine. Now it's people actually acting like dicks trying to tell me that I'm a dick.
For clarification: Seph is upset I neg-repped him again for his passive aggressive post saying "Lol, stop being a sook." Because he's being a sook. I'm at least arguing a point, Seph. If you've got something smart to say -- say it. If not -- lol, stop being a sook. |

I mostly just get my jollies from people getting so worked up over a gimmick. I mean I dig the Broken stuff personally, but I can see why others wouldn't. Just the fact that it's so polarizing is amusing to me.
If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be afraid to say I thought it fucking sucked, but I don't think it'd "take me out" of the programming or whatever. Then again I've personally just always preferred the variety show approach to wrestling. I liked Total Nonstop Deletion as a one-off episode but in general I'd never want the entirety of Raw to be about one thing. But as a character getting one segment a week? Yeah, I'm cool with that. I've just always liked having something for everybody. And if someone was on I didn't give a shit about, I'd just shrug, do something else and wait for the next segment. |

You are shitting on everyone who enjoys this gimmick by explaining why you think it sucks. We all know you hate it, and we all know why. People are allowed to enjoy things that you don't. You can hate something without responding to everyone who likes it with an essay on why it's "killing the business." It really isn't hard to understand. This is either some really dedicated trolling, or you legitimately can't comprehend simple ideas. |

Noid thinks its bad for wrestling and I do understand his point a bit. I'm with you though as I've always enjoyed the variety aspect of pro wrestling. Off the wall but also grounded at the same time. It's entertainment now and everyone has a different views on what they see as entertainment and WWE tries to appeal to all. WWE doesn't need to go all in on it like Impact did and there is no need to but it has to have a bit more substance than just a laugh off to work. The back story of Sister Abigail has already done something for Wyatt and that's my hope is that Wyatt get something out of this. |

I honestly don't think enough people are paying attention to wrestling for it to be negatively affected by this. Wrestling fans are the only ones who know about broken matt, and for the most part, they love him. It would be one thing if it was a portion of the hardcore fanbase that liked him, and he was turning off most viewers. But that's clearly not the case
I stated before that the appeal is tbat it is the wrestling gimmick equivalent to a B-movie. Also could make the comparison to adult swim. Just that bonkers randomness that appeals to certain people. Can understand why some people don't like it, but I refuse to believe its contributing to the downfall of the business. Maybe the downfall of your personal ideals on what wrestling should be. But said ideals may not match up with what the general fanbase wants. Last edited by Fignuts; 12-13-2017 at 11:03 PM. |

And in a time when they literally cut RAW in half for Hulu, anything you don't like can be easily skipped. Sometimes they do it for you.

Agree and I also don't think that wrestling is that much mainstream that it will be effected. I get Noids point that its not like realistic but Hardy sells it as such and creates these backstories which is what makes it great in my opinion. He doesn't treat it as just an act and uses his social media accounts to progress stories which is something WWE tries to do but are not very good at.

I like Broken Matt Hardy, granted I do feel WWE will screw it up, They already kinda doing that, found that glass shattering Woken graphic to be stupid and annoying and really unneeded.
But Pro Wrestling is meant to suspend belief. It's made us believe Val Venis is hung like a Giraffe's neck. That you can actually assault people without getting arrested. So what if a dude believes that animals are incarninates of famous people. My E-Fed character believed he was a Super Saiyan, I don't see how it's hurting anything. Granted if he becomes a unstoppable World Champion, then we might have time to complain. |

Just watched the second promo. May have been more campy (campier?) than the last one, and I can see why people who were excited are less so after it.
What they actually said was fine (I think their chemistry is good so far), but the graphics in between the cuts seemed a bit much. Made the laughing back and forth seem especially forced. I liked the mooing after the golden calf line though haha |

Noid is so overrated as a poster. The guy wouldn't know wrestling if wrestling whipped out its dick and slapped him in the face with it. Just a shite poster through and through. Rambles on and on about jack shit. Glad that people on here are finally starting to take notice of this shitstain on society.

For the record, I think Matt's Broken/Awoken shit is pretty fucken cool. One of the best things in wrestling in years. The fuck what gay retards like Noid think.

I'm actually interested to see what their match is going to be. But I'm not sure I can take more of those awkward graphic cuts with the laughter. |

I don't mind the characters laughing being just a small part of their schtick. Matt laughing at the end of a promo is fine with me. But awkwardly shoehorning it into every conversation between them would suck. And you just KNOW they're gonna have a face to face laugh off at some point. Because WWE are kings of running things into the ground and setting them on fire. |

The first Hardy/Wyatt promo was cool but then they pretty much did the exact same shit the next week.....just adding in those gay Awoken subheadings. WWE should just let Matt do his thing.

Their face-to-face showdown will be laughter and flickering lights for a solid 6 minutes.

Noted cruiserweight Bray Wyatt. At least Woken Matt may have been able to revert himself to 2003 Cruiserweight Champion form with a dip in the Lake of Reincarnation. |

They should add like 6 matches featuring Reigns, Strowman, Samoa Joe, etc. to the Cruiserweight tour. And then subtract all but maybe 1 of the Cruiserweight matches.

I'm disappointed that ticket sales for 205 Live were so bad that they already needed to add other attractions. These were not big arenas and they were in the northeast which tend to draw good crowds to pretty much everything. I've not seen an indy show in this area that didn't have a good turnout. If the sales were that bad for this three-show run, I'm not sure we'll be seeing another 205 Live tour anytime soon. And that's a shame because it's a talented roster and it would've given the guys some extra paydays. Right now there is usually only one cruiserweight match on Raw house shows and the rest of them just sit at home collecting dust on the weekends since they aren't booked for NXT house shows either.
That being said, I'm not surprised they turned to Matt to try to sell tickets for these three shows. Northeast crowds tend to be pretty smarky and it's a safe bet it'll be three crowds that will be into the gimmick. I could see an actual boost in sales. |

At least they're not tripling down on the laughing, but I feel this would have been better shot and edited from House Hardy. |

Well after a promo last week that seemed organic and that Matt might've written it himself, it was right back to awkward forced laughing this week.
This character is dead in the water. |

I agree with your first bit. I don't think it's actively going to chase people away. But I think for any attention it stirs up, the people you probably want to get in are going to say "This is dumb. How do people watch this?" That's all. Like, do we really need more fans with that ironic "appreciation" of wrestling but really don't get emotionally invested, because it's hokey and dumb. It gets really hard to have a good atmosphere when everyone just wants to come and laugh at the weird man. They are only my personal ideals of wrestling, but I think there's a big problem with fandom in wrestling at the moment. They've chased away most of the casuals, and now they have a hardcore audience that wants to both dictate what they want, and when they get it, they want something else. It's just depressing being a fan in that environment. You want to go and enjoy some good live music, because you like some of the bands, but then there is this person screeching and people throwing up onto your shoes. Maybe I'm just too old for this shit? |

I have quite a few friends who became fans for the superficial stuff, or for one angle that appealed to them at the time, but quickly learned and came to understand how deep the rabbit hole goes. Now I talk to those same friends about okada's storytelling or lucha undergrounds long term booking. Topics that may as well have been a foreign language to them when they came in for whatever nonsense attracted them at the time. |
