My prediction is Jinder drops the belt to Cena at SummerSlam, Corbin cashes in and wins it.

Last year SD features Cena, AJ, and Ambrose mainly in the title scene. Now we have face Orton, Jinder, and now Boring Corbin? Lol.
SD was so great because it was so stable with the main powers on the roster. Now it seems like they are playing the Raw game with whow turn is it next month. |

I'm not averse to SmackDown giving opportunities to new guys. It is the land of opportunity, after all. Then again I also like Corbin so him winning doesn't bother me at all.

The "Mike Kanellis" debut was so fucking weird.
Would totally take on the Kanellis name though if it meant marrying Maria. |

Audience was dead for Corbin winning it. To be honest, I can't think of a single memorable thing he's done since being on the main roster other than winning the Andre the Giant battle royal last year (and that leading to nothing), and a shitty feud with Kalisto that nobody cared about.
Otherwise, good match and all-round good PPV. |

I think next year Baron will get sent to RAW and Roman vs Corbin will be a top program that lasts for 4-5 months tbh. Same for Jinder. I see Roman plowing thru RAW's limited heels between now and WM (as well as Strowman and Lesnar).

It was ok. Not bad, Not amazing. Main-Event was good. Nothing I disliked was because of the wrestler's performances, more so creative decisions.

Baron should shave his head bald.
This haircut gives him a middle life crisis dad look. |

I heard this show sucked or something. I'll get to it eventually, after I get through 1986 Tuesday Night Titans.

Getting a kick out of people saying they predicted Carmella and Corbin to win. That was only reported for a week or so.
Overall I wasn't to impressed with the show. Women's mitb, for being historic, was too short and booked mega safe. Nothing wrong with being safe but you know those women wanted more out of the match. I have no problem with the ending sequence it just came a lot faster than it should have. It just felt off. New Day vs Usos was another blah to me. Two matches in a row booked to have the ending draw heat for the heel. Naomi and Lana was alright. Yet we have another dusty type finish to end the match. A straight up legit finish doesn't seem in the cards. Mark and Maria didn't real seem to hit it off with the live crowd too much. Has Maria been gone that long to be forgotten? Well just like people predicted Corbin and Carmella I am just going to say I predicted this. Orton's hometown combined with his dad on Father's day is a sure fire way to say Jinder retains if there ever was one. Crazy finish again and we are four for four. For, to even that out as if I had ocd. Hey the fashion police won clean! Over the team that has been stalking and beating them up! On the first try! That makes you an evil threat. Men's mitb had it's moments. I will nitpick and say they jumped the gun on nak's entrance. The guy leaves himself so wide open when he lays down in the ring it's just obvious someone is gonna come stomp him. With that aside it was aimes to give Nak a rub cause Corbin could have attacked anyone but he chose nak meaning he deemed nak the most dangerous man. Of course he gets that Babyface return pop for being a bad ass. Favorite part easily goes to the staredown between an and nak. Good stuff. Personally I wanted aj to win because I love all things aj but Corbin is intriquing so hopefully smackdown starts some feuds instead of all this constant tag match shit. Definitely the worst outing for the blue brand since the split but still watchable because almost everyone on the show has been booked decently over the year. |

Crazy to think that Breeze and Dango started from the whole Goldust/R-truth thing.

Finished watching the ppv. Outside of the MitB ladder matches, felt like just a regular episode of Smackdown.
Women's MitB match was pretty good overall. Ending was pretty funny and anti-climatic though. JBL mentioning only 1 failure in MitB history and excuses for another cash-in was interesting since WWE finally realizes Cena's cash-in wasn't a real failure like with Sandow. Had really low expectations but Lana-Naomi was a lot better than I was expecting. PPV so far has been decent to good match but anti-climatic endings. at the debut of Maria/Mike had the crowd a lot more happy to see Maria than Mike. Their gimmick seems like its going to be really bad though. Really big missed opportunity not having Alphas be the ones who trashed Breezango's office and attacked Breeze. They desperately need to go in a new direction to stay relevant in the tag division. Been overshadowed badly by both New Day and Breezango for popular/face teams in recent months. Men's MitB match was pretty good overall. Corbin winning the case makes sense since everyone else didn't really need it or would have been a waste. |

I was listening to Busted Open, they were adamant that if Ellsworth pulled the briefcase down, then that would completely dismantle the women's division and everything they had built up since the Divas Revolution...
... so has that happened? |

Just watched the Maria & Mike Kanellis segment, thought it was great. Its not as great of a name as Miracle but having him take her name fits him so much.

that's what i figured it was supposed to be.
i guess their argument is that its not good heat and people will just tune off the women's division again. |

I can appreciate taking out Nakamura. He is hot and the crowd knows it, but I think it is smart to not over-expose him so quickly as to not have the crowd burn out on him. Also sincerely hope they build the Styles v Nakamura program. Those two can really show the rest of the locker room how to get it fucking done. Time will tell. |

They need to try to get some genuine emotion out of the ladies of Smackdown! going on about women's history, what they have had to overcome, etc. just to have him come out and shit all over it, with Carmella getting the last word and furthering the narrative that Ellsworth is her bitch. |

Eh, I've got no real desire to watch it. Glad to hear Lana had a good showing though. I don't like the ending to the Women's MITB, but I hope it leads to Becky beating up Ellsworth. I wouldn't be opposed to Shane taking umbrage with Ellsworth's involvement and Ellsworth acting like he's got one up over Shane and basically stepping out of line -- Ellsworth & Carmella vs. Shane & Becky in an extended squash at SummerSlam or Battleground or whatever.
