1) During a recent interview with Gamespot, Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada announced Namco has dropped all development for Tekken X Street Fighter. Game itself hasn't been officially canceled but no longer is an active project for the studio for the near future.

I played that game wrong. But it was such a blast. Avalanche did a good job with that game.

*hint hint* Try your best to get some of the trickier trophies/achievements out of the way ASAP. If there's a few lingering when you beat the game, you're gonna go nuts trying to get 'em.

GTA is now $30 on Xbone...... strongly considering getting it even though I played the hell out of it on 360.

First person GTA seems like it would be "amazing".

Bought GTA - not regretting it. Almost feels like a completely different game.


Mirrors Edge is fucking awesome. Sooooooooooo smooth and fluid and it is open fucking world. Various mission types, collectibles, etc. make it TONS more expansive than the 1st game, which was strictly linear.

Very VERY fun game. So far, it feels worth the $$$$

1) Ubisoft and their former creative director Patrice Désilets recently agreed to a legal settlement which involved the on-going lawsuit against the company being dropped and in return, Désilets' new studio Panache Digital Games got the IP rights to 1666 Amsterdam. Should I care about Battleborn? I just started playing Borderlands 2 last week (I know, years behind) and absolutely love it, and love MOBAs. This sounds right up my alley.

I think it's choose Battleborn or Overwatch.

I really don't know what the difference is between them other than a plot and that one is Blizzard's and the other is Gearbox's.

Only read a little about both games but Battleborn includes a campaign mode that can be played solo or in co-op. Overwatch seems to be just online multiplayer only.

Gearbox pretty much has more to lose since it seems they are banking on this game to lead the hype into Borderlands 3 and their recent track record has been somewhat bad (ex. Aliens Colonial Marines debacle, CEO being a douchebag).

I didn't care for the Battleborn Betas I have done so far. I gave it a go for at least 4 hours. Lots of characters though.

Is it comparable in gameplay to Overwatch? Have a bunch of friends getting Overwatch so I'll probably pick that up. If the two are similar enough I'll prolly pass on Battleborn then.

Nah, they're pretty different. Battleborn plays like a first person MOBA with lanes and trash units and all that, while Overwatch is TF2ish.

Also, based on the betas, Battleborn isn't good and Overwatch is great.

Nothing too great on there so far by the looks of it. Defs paying at least a buck to get Shantae on 3DS (already own it on Wii U); fantastic game... have Retro City Rampage on PS3 already but for a buck to also get it on 3DS is great

3) For those that follow Blizzard and/or recent World of Warcraft news, the company announced the official reason they had to shut down a very popular WoW classic unofficial server for the game was due to IP laws. Played the Nioh demo. Not to sound like a broken record, but it's almost a carbon copy of Dark Souls. But with samurais, ninjas, and spirits.

I'll tinker with it some more, but it's probably something I won't play.

I'd be more excited for a Remastered (or new) WW II era shooter. Plenty of stuff to cover that hasn't been covered yet and I like the weapons much better.

Are you joking? There was like 10 years of constant World War 2 shooters after Saving Private Ryan. Call of Duty 1, 2, 3 and 5 were set in it. Several Battlefield games. About 12 Medal of Honour games. What hasn't been covered beyond a game where you're turning the knobs in the concentration camp.

All those maps on Modern Warfare were a blast.............except for Bloc. Always hated Bloc.

And it was simple online multiplayer. Doesn't get much better that.
