Huh? I really think you should read the tread a little more so you know what you're talking about. Just to re-cap this one, he quotes me responding to someone else, I respond to him, he then responds with a bunch of insults... yeah, on occasion it's really easy to make him flip out and do one of his ALL CAPS posts swearing and yelling. I actually prefer when he dosen't have a hissy fit, because it makes a better discussion, but like some people he has trouble seperating being a fan of a team to step back and look at things objectively. Which is why he flips out over little things and can't see both sides of the argument.. even funnier is I seem to remember a few weeks ago RP and Stima going back and forth until RP said something like "I was just stirring shit" Yet, Dr. A thinks thats all I'm trying to do... Quote:
It's like saying "I like the color yellow only on cars" and the quote repeated is "I like the color yellow". Sorry, it's not you, and it's not just this but when media butchers quotes which they do all the time drives me nuts, trying to make someone look like an ass rather then "reporting all the facts" so people can make their own decision. I haven't looked, but I heard the Eagles game spread is like 23 points... this is just getting silly. Quote:
I mean, any team could beat the Pats, but I think the Giants have the best chance. Last edited by VonErichLives; 11-21-2007 at 07:20 AM. |

ok, so this isn't a football post but it's just come up in this thread.
I've always found it funny on here how people think trying to insult the person they're having a discussion with somehow makes their point or discredits the other opinion. RP does this frequently, Dr. A (i think was trying to take a shot at the rumor KVE had Aids when he killed himself? but not 100% sure) but others do it, I typicially do it with MTH calling him a 12yr old... Like somehow the enhances our discussion, imgaine how much enjoyable and easier to read this place would be w/o this crap. I mean, if you're at a Bar and disagree with someone if you're response "well you have testicles for brains". anyway, just been wanting to say that for awhile... back to football. |

The fact of the matter is that the only replies you make (or at least 95% of them) come from what RP writes. He may have started it on some occasions, but you sure don't try to look the other way when he does.

Do I respond to a lot of RP posts, probably, but he's also one of the more knowledgeable and most frequent posters in the thread, so I'm sure a lot of people reply to his posts. but think whatever you want, I really don't care. The fact is, the Patriots are on pace to be the best (single season) team in NFL history and cement their place as one of the best Dynasty teams the league has seen. The fact that the Pats (and the Colts) have put together these great teams, year after year in a salary cap ERA is amazing. I accept the a majority of people who follow the NFL don't like the Pats... same way in the 1980's if you weren't a Celtics or Lakers fan you hated those teams, or the Bulls or Yankees the list goes on... people get tired of seeing the same team win and more importantly their team not win and I expect at some point, maybe this season or next season for me and stima to be eating are crow... this wont last for ever... but we'll enjoy it while it does. Matt Light had a great quote yesterday and caring about an undefeated regular season "We care about being undefeated in the playoffs" and that's the truth, as I've said when the Colts won during the season and RP said this year and it's true, after the playoff teams are set, it's a clean slate, 1 and done. Is an undefeated regular season nice? sure, but it means nothing if they don't win it all. Kinda like beating the Yankees in 2004, if the Sox lost to STL it would have meant NOTHING! |

So, back to football.
The league is looking into the Packers for players getting a "Bounty". The DB's offered cash to the DL if they kept a team under 100yds running and another under 60. Now, I don't see why they're calling this a Bounty, this isn't Buddy Ryan offering money for whoever knocks the QB out of the game. This is more of a "Bonus". My understanding is if it's shown the money came from coach's they're going to charge the Packers with circumventing the salary cap, since all bonuses must go through and apply against the cap. I don't think there has ever been a case of players paying players, my guess is that's what happened, the league does nothing and next year has a rule in place, otherwise I see someone like Jerry Jones testing this by having a player pay another player to somehow circumvent the cap. |

Jets are gonna catch those Cowboys sleeping on turkey day. They going to be thinking about going home and stuffing there faces and not thinking about Kellin Clemens having a feast full of TD's.
