The October 16th show did 2.69 million viewers, the only Raw episode this football season to do a lower number. There were also four shows this year during the NBA playoffs that did lower numbers than Monday ...

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 2.96 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.72 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.60 million viewers

The Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island announced on their social media accounts yesterday that Lesnar would be in the building for the December 18th episode of Raw. Lesnar hasn't appeared on television since defeating AJ Styles at Survivor Series and hasn't been advertised for next Monday's Raw in Los Angeles or for the December 11th show in Cleveland.

The night before Raw takes place in Providence, WWE will present their final pay-per-view of the year with SmackDown's Clash of Champions event in Boston. The build for the Royal Rumble should pick up around that time, with the following two weeks of Raw being live shows on Christmas and New Year's Day.
Depending on prices and scheduling, might have a chance to go to this show.

In a rematch of what might have been WWE’s best match of the year, Pete Dunne will defend his WWE United Kingdom Championship against Tyler Bate at the tapings.

Matches taped at NXT house shows prior to TakeOver will air on tonight’s show. Those include Kairi Sane vs. Peyton Royce, Tyler Bate & Trent Seven vs. Pete Dunne & Mark Andrews, and The Street Profits vs. Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports that WWE will be creating their own new character for Hardy and that it will not be labeled as "Broken", but it will be very similar.

Regarding the legal matters between Hardy and Anthem Sports & Entertainment over the ownership of the "Broken" intellectual property, SI reports that there have been no new negotiations between Hardy and Anthem's Ed Nordholm, and there have been no talks of revenue sharing over profits made off merchandise. SI reached out to Anthem for an update and Nordholm issued the following statement:

After digging in their heels on the ownership of the Hardys' "Broken Universe" for the last year, Impact Wrestling, under Anthem Media, has made a complete about-face on their position when it comes to ownership of characters. PWInsider.com has been told by several sources that going forward, all contracted Impact Wrestling talents will be given and retain complete ownership of their intellectual property ...

We are told this week's decision was one made by Ed Nordholm. There is no word yet what sparked the decision, but it opens the door for the company to try and mend fences with fans angered by the company's former stance against the Hardys ...

The move also appears to be made as a way to open things up between the company and its wrestlers in a way that has never been done before by a major, national promotion. It would allow the company to partner with its contracted talents to build characters and intellectual property together, as opposed to Impact claiming ownership of those characters if and when the talents move on at the end of their Impact run.

Vince McMahon ended up approving the event and it was announced a few months later. There are no plans for the event to air on the WWE Network. The event was never meant to be a TV program and was produced as a standard live event. WWE did film Starrcade with several cameras, as they often do at live events, so there is footage if they decide to air it at a later date.
