We've always known that Capcom has a clear, unified approach to Street Fighter V. The game, according to the publisher so far, will not be constantly updated with "Super" and "Ultra" editions -- instead, there will be one base version that's added onto over time. Now we have a basic timeline.

According to Ono, the game is running on a five year plan, which will include constant balancing updates. Ono states, "simple maths [sic] suggest it'll take five years to get to the roster of Street Fighter IV [44], and we want to keep the game going for that amount of time." He hints that while this is the initial plan, it may change after the game releases, depending on its reception.
