It's tough with Cena. I'd actually say he has evolved as a performer, in that we've seen him get really good in front of our eyes. Keep in mind he was made the top guy six years into his career. We've seen him develop in the spotlight over a 15-year period. It's not just that we've turned a corner on Cena, but he's actually progressed to the point where I believe he could now be a top guy and a real draw. Back when he was pushed, he was still a mid-carder who had the main event look and was just jammed, jammed, jammed as people walked away.

Some of it is on Cena, in the sense that he just wasn't up to scratch for it. A lot of it falls onto Vince and the WWE though. They should have known better and had other guys that they could have run with while Cena was still cooking in order to not sour everyone on him as early as they did.
