The episode was sixth for the night on cable in terms of total viewers and first in the 18-49 demo with a 0.74 rating. There was no big sports competition last night with the NBA and NHL finals both not in action. The biggest competition was "America's Got Talent" on NBC, which did 12.5 million viewers head-to-head with SmackDown ... For a year-over-year comparison, which will get very interesting next month when we can compare the live Tuesday night numbers, SmackDown this week in 2016 did 2.169 million viewers and a 0.69 rating in the 18-49 demo, so those numbers were up eight and seven percent respectively this year. At this time in 2016, the show was taped on Tuesdays and then aired on the USA Network on Thursdays.

Outside of one show, Smackdown seems to settle in around the 2.3 million as its new average for the post-Superstar Shakeup recovery.

He had been scheduled to team with Jeff Cobb against Chuck Taylor & Trent Baretta, but he'll be defending his WWN Championship against Martin Stone at a Style Battle show on that day instead. WWN also announced that they're allowing Riddle out of his bookings for EVOLVE on July 8th and 9th to pursue another opportunity. Riddle will be facing Tomohiro Ishii in a non-tournament match at Revolution Pro Wrestling's British J-Cup show in London on the 8th.
