You might be the first NL fan I know that actually wants the league to adapt a DH. Would hate that so much. I realize it'll probably happen eventually whether I want it to or not, but fuck.

It'd never happen but I heard a proposal on SNY. Eliminate the DH in the AL and in turn expand the rosters to 27 players. You eliminate the DH job but the selling point for the union is that you create 60 new jobs where guys will make big league salaries. So many NL teams lack a true slugger on their bench to be used as PH late in the game, because teams want to fill their bench with versatile players. Expanding the rosters to 27 eliminates this and still allows aging hitters a chance to stick around as PH specialists.

Still probably won't happen though because the DH is a bigger money position than 2 extra bench guys combined.
