Styles retained his WWE title over Ambrose due to interference from James Ellsworth, which was to set up a Styles vs. Ellsworth title match on tomorrow night's SmackDown tapings in Houston. Ellsworth's interference was framed as a strategic decision because he thinks he has Styles' number after getting three fluke wins over him.

It is not clear at this point how Styles' injury will play into the match, or if he will be able to wrestle, or be limited in the match since it would likely have been more of an angle than a serious main event style match, or his status as far as house shows since he's the key star of the brand right now.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell us James has kept in contact with WWE officials since NXT TakeOver: Toronto and they’ve let her know a deal is waiting for her should she want to accept.

Mickie faced off against Asuka at the NXT event last month and the match received high praise.

No word as to whether the deal would be for RAW or SmackDown Live, or the length of the contract, but either brand would benefit greatly from having another veteran in their ranks.

The Lawler situation followed the pattern of Jim Ross, where, likely due to age, he was moved from Raw to SmackDown, then given a lesser role on SmackDown, and then the decision was made to remove them from regular television but keep them with the company, although Ross was later let go after controversy regarding his hosting a WWE event that went awry.

Both are still affiliated loosely with the company and may be brought back to television on the WWE Network for special occasions.

Last Sunday's TLC PPV featured a change in pre-show format with radio host Peter Rosenberg as a guest on the panel.

The original sourcing for the story came from a source at Universal Studios in Orlando. TNA claims that story is incorrect.
An earlier report from PWI stated TNA was planning on taping some shows during Mania week to take advantage of all the people going to the city for wrestling festivities.

She is serving the second suspension for failing the WWE drug test for an alleged illegal substance. However, recent neck surgery may not see her back in the ring for a while if at all.

While the end of the 60-day suspension of Paige is good news, she may still be not fit to return to the ring. The 24-year-old girlfriend of former WWE star Alberto Del Rio underwent neck surgery. It could keep her out until 2017.

Aside from that row, there is a looming possibility that Paige may not return to the WWE because of her troubled relationship with the company. WWE could use a reliable hand and personality like Paige right now, but the strained working relationship could come to an abrupt end.

Paige has not spoken to anyone from WWE since the suspension despite attempts from them and close friends trying to reach out to her but Paige has pretty much isolated herself from the locker room and the company which has caused big concern for her.

On episode 110 of Sam Roberts' Wrestling Podcast, WWE SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan talked about whether he enjoys Talking Smack, what he seeks to accomplish with the program, and WWE Superstars do not speak their minds.

Bryan said that there are times that he enjoys Talking Smack, but sometimes he hears on his earpiece that he should not have been saying certain things.
"Sometimes, yeah. I mean, sometimes, I just say things and then, sometimes in my earpiece it's like, 'why are you saying that?' And then, it's like, 'oh…'"

Bryan added, "so my thing with Talking Smack is, I want our talent to look really good. So for example, Baron Corbin was on the show, not last week, but the week before, he was awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It did great and the key is the show is not about Renee [Young] and I, like, we're just hosts - we're just there to bring stuff out of people, to help them."
