This has been a known habit of WWE, though: they really don't think beyond one idea or angle or moment, or how it can grow and evolve or possibly hinder and stifle someone in the long run. It is usually about short term gains and instant gratification in ratings, ticket/merch sales, or simply Vince's whims. Screw how it comes off to the fans. Screw how this can impact JJ's career trajectory for good or ill. Funny rib on Kurt; his reaction is caught on film forever!!!

Even the slow pitch "gimmie" of this angle being a ploy by Jason Jordan to get some noteriety with a heel turn and a match against Kurt doesn't even sound like a given, with Kurt "hoping" it leads to a match instead of keeping that close to the vest because it is an actual goal of the story that is written in. Nope. Just "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if Kurt has an illigitimate mulatto son? Let's do that!" with no plan on where to go from there.
