Well, now that his Hollywood persona is established, I think it means more for the WWE now than it possibly has since his rise in 2005. When he returned in 2014, they immediately heeled him by putting him alongside Triple H and Stephanie and inserted him into a prominent position through the Bryan rise. This was so obviously bone-headed that CyNick assumed there must have been a plan. It was a plan so good that Batista ended up doing three straight PPV jobs and ended up leaving frustrated.

If he returned now, I think he would mean a lot more as a babyface. Especially given his frustrations are more well-known amongst the sections of the crowd who would boo him. If he refuses to take shit from Stephanie? Instant mega-babyface. They might white meat him and keep him away, or even just make him a heel, but I know I would be cheering Batista against Triple H, for example.
