I'm fairly certain my friends who do podcast can get unique data. I mean, I haven't really looked into how that stuff works, but I wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't either. Even taking your assertion on how the stats work, and my number on Cornette's podcast, and there are barely more New Japan World subscribers than listeners to the podcast each week. Eep.
