For some reference the Wii U was the first console Nintendo sold at a loss for launch. Similar to the PS4's launch, only needed the purchase of 1 game for Nintendo to break even for each console sold.

If its not at a loss i cant see it being less than $299 obviously but they cant really go much higher either
