Oh, and their games aren't on Steam, so it's that or physical copies, but really. Who would want to get off their bloated ass and buy a game in a store when you can pay the exact same price for a digital copy you don't even own?

On Steam, you do own the games. I don't know about Origin.
Valve stated a long time ago that in the rare occurrence that they go under, they would release a patch to make all your games able to be played without Steam anymore.
