PWG officially announced the news last night, with Joey Janela being confirmed as Cooper's replacement in the tournament. Janela will be taking on Sammy Guevara in place of Cooper on night two. Cooper and Travis Banks (as the South Pacific Power Trip) were scheduled to face The Young Bucks in non-tournament action on night one, but that match is now off and The Young Bucks won't be appearing on the first night. They'll still be teaming with Kenny Omega against Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix & Flamita on night two.

We are told Ki has not been issued a release and remains under contract through October. He had been a great part of revitalizing the X-Division in recent months.

Source of the rumor was the Dirty Sheets podcast show which has a habit of making BS sheet news.

Prior to SummerSlam, it appeared that The Miz was going to be involved in a feud with Jason Jordan for a while and the son of Kurt Angle will get a shot at the Intercontinental Championship sooner or later. However, the only match these two had was a 6 men tag team match at SummerSlam in which Jordan teamed with the Hardy Boys and was defeated by the Miz and the Miztourage. After this, the two stars didn’t interact on this week’s episode of Raw. Now it appears that this feud is over and WWE is planning something else for both the IC title and the Miz. During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the main event of this week’s episode of Raw and speculated that Samoa Joe could be next in line for a shot at the title. Meltzer noted that their tag team match on Raw was possibly the start of a new rivalry and it could culminate in form of an Intercontinental Championship match at the upcoming No Mercy PPV. It was also noted that if The Miz does gets involved in a programme with Samoa Joe the later may turn face for the feud and it shouldn’t be a surprise if he ends up snatching the belt from the former WWE Champion.

Levesque was asked this past week regarding the format of the finals on 9/12 and how that night will be done regarding the usual 205 Live show that would take place. There is nothing official right now, but the last working plan was to shoot a one-hour woman’s final, airing live right after Smackdown ends in Las Vegas. As noted before, many, if not all of the 32 women are being brought to Las Vegas, including several being flown in from Japan or the U.K. just for this show. The idea is to have a series of other women’s matches, three being the going number right now, on that show.
