I think Lawler is probably the perfect example of how "Keep It Simple Stupid" can work. He never really worked with anything more than the basics (in terms of moves, that is, his career is filled with other assorted gimmickry). But the handful of moves he utilized were perfectly executed, perfectly timed, and used to the best possible effect.

He got me to want to see him win the goddamn WWE Championship in 2011.
