Supposedly the reinforced bamboo is supposed to be wicked sharp and painful but dunno... Also, I guess it's supposed to add suspense or something to close each gate for good once the 1 minute expires, plus the stop that if all 4 close, BOTH cages have to be climbed...still seems pretty anti-climactic, IMHO.
