Owen had only turned 34 a few weeks before he died. While we'll never know for sure, I feel like he would've wrestled into his early to mid 40s.

So he could've been going for another 5-10 years and presumably would've spent a good deal of time in the brand split era with two World Titles. I definitely think he would've gotten a run near the top of one of the brands at some point.

I'd say Benoit was better in the ring, but only slightly. Owen however steamrolled Benoit in the promo department and he was more versatile in what you could do with him.
