I haven't heard about Affleck not being in it. Well, I have heard it, then I heard it debunked. Then I heard it again, then debunked again.

I have heard about it being "standalone", but still in the DCEU. Which it still can be, the hype man is correct.

It doesn't need cameos or to build a larger world. That's like saying a Batman comic book isn't part of the DC Universe because Superman (or whoever) wasn't in it and they didn't acknowledge stuff happening in some other comic book.
