This is pretty much why I voted the way I did. Slaughter has come across as so fucking corny for my entire wrestling-watching career which has spanned the last 20 years.

I don't discount that early Slaughter could've been great, I'd love some recommendations. But I've only ever seen him as a joke in anything I've seen him in over a long period of watching wrestling. Andre on the other hand just oozes legend and gets you to invest in everything he does.
