I'm actually glad. I know his work in New Japan got slightly negative reviews, but I have no doubt that the dude can still go when he needs to. And even though he wasn't known for his talking, he did have good enough presence to make people buy into him having some sort of charisma. He was a fun act while he was there. If he's used in the mid-card, without the lofty expectations of him reaching some sort of mega-star level, he'll be fine. But I also think that with wrestling having a star problem, he might shine a bit brighter than people expect.
I'd definitely take him over Jinder Mahal as the WWE Champion, for example.
