Rotten tomatoes has two scoring systems. Critics will submit their reviews with their own score, i.e. 4/5, 6/10 etc, but also have to assign either a splat or tomato with their review. So, the meter is based off of that second option. That percentage of critics would recommend the film or categorize it as "good" or "decent". So it can be a bit misleading. That's why you should also read the reviews, which peg it as more of 5/10 or mediocre film.
Can't just read the fucking meter and not get any context behind it. It doesn't help BvS much but it does give you a better picture of what to expect.
