Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime stated the company is currently working on a save transferring update for the Switch to ease concerns about losing save data for Switch games.

According to Nintendo, Super Mario Odyssey had the fastest selling launch ever in Mario series history for both North America and Europe. In terms of records, it beat New Super Mario Bros Wii for North America and Galaxy 2 for Europe.
