Them taking an abrupt mid-season break was pretty devastating in terms of viewers since something around 50% of their Season 3 audience didn't return for the mid-season premiere.
Part of that was also due to some cable providers listing the new episode as a rerun instead of marking it as a new one. The 2nd ep back really bounced back as far as viewers.
