He was in a submission move and got KO'd because he refused to submit. So he didn't submit, he lost via KO, it was announced he lost via KO, ever set of results says he lost by KO. If he actually submitted he'd be out, but he didn't. He got knocked out. Getting knocked out is not an elimination regardless of whether he gets knocked out by a strike, a submission hold or slamming his head against a keyboard from explaining this repeatedly.
