But it's all building to one big event where they want as many heroes as possible.

They've been hinting throughout all three phases, the level of the threat that this invasion will be. Showing battles across the earth would help emphasize that. 5-10 second clip of the defnders fighting off Chitauri as part of a scene that shows other battles in a similar fashion, such as the sorcerors in Kathmandu, warriors in asgard, soldiers in Wakanda, agents of shield wherever the fuck they are. A scene that emphasizes that everyone, no matter how powerful, is fighting this invasion.

It just makes no sense to me, to create this interconnected universe that mirrors the comics, and where characters show up in each others' properties, but to have this imaginary wall where certain characters can never and will never appear on the other side is limiting, and it's fucking stupid. Yes, it's supplemental, but it absolutely does not have to be exclusively so. It can add to the greater story they are telling, just as the greater story helped form the plot of the shows.
