This is such interesting news. I imagine that Alpha Entertainment is probably going to dip its fingers into many different pots, but the football stuff is...intriguing and controversial. Vince thinks he can fill this gap, but is it really wide enough to even fuck?

I can also see him starting this sort of venture, because he's not the sort of guy who is going to be able to just "let go" of WWE. He's going to need to throw himself into something else. I also wonder if there is a bit of a "lightning rod" mentality here. Obviously he wants this to work, but when people talk about Vince McMahon, they're going to talk about the WWE. This is a way to kind of side-promote the WWE without really promoting them. Late night talk show hosts are going to be mentioning WWE far more now than they have had cause to for years, for example.
