Besides what Dave said about El Rey, its also somewhat hard for them to maintain momentum because of the long breaks in between seasons and wrestling in general being on a big down period for tv.

Them taking an abrupt mid-season break was pretty devastating in terms of viewers since something around 50% of their Season 3 audience didn't return for the mid-season premiere.
