Just because something is done in a new way does not automatically make it good.

I am far from grumpy. I enjoy most things more than the cynical, nitpicky internet, whether it's games, movies, or comics. I generally feel that most people need to lighten the fuck up when it comes to these topics. Also, I love horror and can absolutely appreciate a generic flick for what it is. The problem is, that the New Mutants have such a rich history, and it's hard to watch this trailer and see it as anything but a missed opportunity.

That said, I realize that it's just the first trailer, so I won't completely condemn it. Not hyped for it at all though, at this point.
