WWE has yet to announce which matches are scheduled for the pre-show. The first hour will begin at 5 p.m. Eastern on April 8th before the main card starts at 7 p.m.

WWE sources have said that while the company has had conversations of late with Hogan, they were about his interest in helping others learn from mistakes he has made in life. The company said that quote has been misinterpreted with people believing a return is imminent.

"Hulk Hogan is an important part of Andre the Giant's history, however his appearance at tonight's HBO premiere of the documentary and his plans to help others learn from his mistakes does not mean WWE is rehiring him. Hogan is not scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events."

When Ambrose first went under the knife, WWE stated he would be out nine months. April would make it four months into that process.

I think he was received as a homecoming hero when he performed live in India and whenever there is a local star there is significance to the audience there. Our audience is so much bigger, it is global, so we have to entertain everyone."

The Hall of Fame on 4/6, the WWE's first show of the weekend, and Smackdown on 4/10, the final show, are not expected to sell out and both have a lot of tickets left, priced as low as $25. After the announcement last week of the return of Daniel Bryan, tickets for Mania were very strong when it came to late sales so his return is money. At press time there were about 700 tickets left, almost all on the floor, with the cheapest price being $337.

Piledrivers will be banned at these events, but apparently, not for WWE events or the ROH show, as the commission considers them major league events. This stems back to a 1996 accident where an independent wrestler, Aldus Bergeron was paralyzed and sued Jason Dupre (Steve Anthony) and the commission, which regulated the show, and the result was a several million dollar settlement. It was appealed and upheld because the judge ruled that the commission did not do its job to prevent sham matches (keep in mind every pro wrestling match is a sham match, meaning that this judicial ruling is downright scary) and said that since the injury took place in a post-match attack, and not during the match, the commission didn't enforce their rules about the ring being emptied once the match is over. In 2007, the commission changed the rules, no longer banning sham matches.

John Green Jr., the commission secretary, said banned moves would include all variations of the piledriver, all variations of the power bomb, moonsaults, shooting star presses, 450 splashes or anything that involves one wrestler leaping or flipping off the ropes or turnbuckles to contract the head or neck of the opponent, as well as any variation of the stun gun or a move where a wrestler's head or neck gets draped or clotheslined over the ropes, as well as any striking the head with any kind of object like a chair or trash can lid, of knocking anyone over the top rope. However, the commission has the right to allow these moves to be used prior to an event if they believe the wrestlers have sufficient training, athletic ability and experience to perform them without endangering each other. Luke Hawx of Wildkat Wrestling, who is providing the local license that many of the outside promotions are using, has noted that they've never been bothered about doing 450s or moonsaults, but they avoid fighting in the crowd, blading and piledrivers. He said as long as the promotions stay away from those moves, he doesn't think there will be any problems.

When he finally returned after five months off, the first thing he was asked was to lose to La Parka. He said he didn't want to do it, not because it was La Parka, but because he thought it was dumb for him to return after five months and lose in his match back. He said he made his mind up to quit, but didn't announce it until the completion of the Lucha Underground season. He said that he's asked to see his contract and for four years has gotten the runaround by Dorian Roldan and Marisela Pena so he doesn't even know how long he's under contract. He said Roldan told him he'd make his life impossible if he quit and said this was not the same Roldan that he used to know.

He said he was very upset about how Roldan has changed and the things he's said about people who have left the promotion. He said AAA claimed they owned all of his names, but her noted he used Ricky Banderas long before he came to AAA. He said he thinks he'll still be able to work Lucha Underground since Pentagon, Fenix, Jack Evans and others still worked there after quitting AAA. Banderas said a lot of people would like to leave but there is the fear of the unknown. He also said he would be wrestling Cibernetico on 4/28. In fact, the only major AAA stars still in Lucha Underground are Vampiro (who has immense heat on him as there was a situation a few weeks ago that nearly came to blows between Vampiro and El Texano Jr.), King Cuerno, Texano, Drago and Aerostar.

The most notable was Shibata saying that he would wrestle again some day and that his teaching and training with the students at the school would get him back. It is believed he would never be cleared again after life-saving brain surgery after his April 1, 2017 match with Kazuchika Okada at Sumo Hall, largely from his delivering a sick head-butt that left him with bleeding on the brain. Shibata physically looks in good shape.

The idea is cutting down on the length of the commercial breaks to keep viewers from tuning out to other shows. They are pitching to advertisers that with shorter breaks and fewer commercials, that the value of the commercials will now be greater and thus are looking at upping the price of commercials to make up for the lost revenue of fewer actual ads. NBC Universal is looking at reducing ad time by about ten percent in prime time, and this would include Raw.
Rumor going around the net is FOX's offer being in the $200 million range which is what they currently pay for UFC. Would be around $60 million higher than what WWE currently gets from NBC & USA Network.
