NXT star Bronson Matthews (Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl) stepped in it big time on Monday night with a tweet that has drawn heat from NXT and WWE veterans. During RAW, “Big Action” took it upon himself to deem the Social Outcasts the #SocialJobbers.
The tweet got the attention of Kevin Owens (who eventually blocked him), his NXT peer Bull Dempsey and Stardust, who says Bronson probably won’t be welcomed in the WWE locker room – if he ever makes it there.

There is a ton of heat on him today from the main roster, to the point where it is possible that management will have to step in to try to quell things if they have not already. The other key is that the Royal Rumble is in Orlando and all the NXT talent will be there. Probably going to be a long day for young Josh. We have heard from people in the company who want to see him in the Royal Rumble now

"New Japan Pro Wrestling" will feature the matches from Wrestling Dontaku 2015. Ross will do the voice-over calls from Los Angeles.

As noted, actor Stephen Amell and Stardust have resumed their feud on Twitter, stemming from Stardust stealing Amell’s Slammy Award which Amell won for his match at SummerSlam back in August of last year.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE plans to shoot footage of both Stardust and Amell at the Heroes & Villains convention in Secaucus, NJ, this Saturday afternoon.
It appears as if WWE plans to build to an eventual singles match between Amell and Stardust, however there is no word on when that match might take place.

In what could be a sign that Daniel Bryan will finally receive word on his WWE future, he is scheduled to be in Pittsburgh, PA later this week, according to PWInsider. That is where Dr. Joseph Maroon, who heads up the WWE Wellness testing, is based.
Bryan is likely going to Pittsburgh for medical testing or some kind of meeting with Maroon, perhaps to try and get cleared to return to the ring. We've noted how Bryan was cleared by outside doctors but WWE doctors have not cleared him to return to action.
Bryan does have a World of Wheels convention appearance in Pittsburgh on Friday as well. We'll keep you updated on any developments.

According to WebIndia.com, WWE International President Gerrit Meier has apologized for a TV segment in 1990’s during which Kurt Angle took the Indian flag and wiped his nose with it.
The report notes that the Hindu group Aadvanshi Veer Sena, as well as several local wrestlers, made calls to protest WWE’s events in India unless WWE apologized for the TV segment.
Meier issued the following comments:
“This case is about 20-years-ago and we did not deliberately did [sic] that. We have a great respect for the country. We are sorry that it happened, but we had no intention of doing it. India is a reputable country and we apologise for this…We are extremely pleased that India is hosting the live events again. There are good number of fans and I am confident that they will enjoy it all. Nearly 14 years later, we are once again on the ground of India will play a WWE match.”

Supposedly the WWE was worried about having potential protests and boycotts occur with their recent India tour if they didn't apologize.

Both ABC News and NBC are planning to produce made-for-TV biographies on Ventura. The ABC News documentary, which will air on 12/30 on the A&E Network, has been filming in recent weeks with interviews with many people both in and out of the pro wrestling industry. Among those interviewed this past week have included Hulk Hogan, Greg Gagne, Bob Geigel (who was the first promoter to book Ventura in the old Kansas City circuit back in 1975), a friend and his commander in his Navy Seals days, and myself. For whatever reason, the WWF will be not be cooperating with this movie. Perhaps they feel it will be competition for their own planned video release on 12/15 of a Best of Ventura WWF tape. It should be noted that Ventura in a TV news report on WCCO in Minneapolis mentioned they didn't tell him ahead of time about doing the tape although he wasn't complaining about more royalties coming in from it, and that they were six months behind in paying him his tape royalties. On recent releases of old footage such as the Best of Survivor Series tapes, the original announcing by Ventura in the old matches was voiced over in studio by the current announcers so the company wouldn't have to pay royalties to Ventura). Because of all that, whatever pro wrestling footage that would air would likely be from WCW as an announcer and possibly the AWA as a wrestler, unless Don Owen has any 70s tapes still laying around.

Last Monday’s average viewership of 3.23 million viewers was the lowest for RAW in the month of January since the Monday Night Wars era. Viewers were down 14.48% from a year ago this week (January 12, 2015), which also went up against the NCAA college football national title title game. That particular edition of RAW averaged 3.89 million viewers, which, in itself, was down 11.67% from the same week in 2014.
The rating for the 2016 show was a 2.36, down 12.92% from the same week in 2015, and also the lowest January rating since before the Monday Night Wars.
The 2015 rating was a 2.71, down 12.86% from the previous year. It’s important to note that 2015 was the first year that of the current format of the NCAA college football playoffs, meaning that the championship game was later than it had been in previous years and had never gone up against RAW prior to that.
The average for the month of January is now 3.451 million viewers, well down from January 2015's 4.035 million.
If this trend continues, it would be the 14th straight month that RAW viewership has dropped year-over-year with most of those months seeing a decline of more than 10%. Similarily, the combined rating so far in January is 2.43, down 17.8% from last year’s 2.95 rating in January.

- According to a recent interview Chavo Guerrero Jr had with Wrestle Inc, TNA actually tried to fire him once after he picked the briefcase with the Pink Slip from a Feast or Fired match.
