The big news, and this is attributable to Amore, is that the third hour, at 2.71 million viewers, didn't drop nearly as much as expected and was ahead of the last few weeks. The third hour was promoted with Amore vs. Kalisto for the Cruiserweight title, which Kalisto won in an impromptu decision, as the focal point ...

The key to the third hour was the much lower level of women tuning out than has been usual for the show, and a big increase in teenage boys from hour two to three to almost compensate for the loss of the over-50 audience, WWE's largest viewing audience, which fell nine percent from hour two to hour three.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.01 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.89 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.71 million viewers
Somehow Enzo being in the main event for 3 weeks straight has lead to the 3rd hour doing better than the previous week. Not even Reigns had this type of consistency for the 3rd hour.

Then, the decision was made to move that match to next week's show and hold a six woman tag. Then, the decision was made to have a Five Way instead and hold it this week so the company could better promote Asuka's debut on the go-home show.

As we reported last night, the original plan to headline the show was for Neville challenging Enzo Amore, but that was changed to Kalisto instead.

In addition, there will be other Canadian independent content including Border City Wrestling, the promotion run by Scott D'Amore.

The company announced the service would debut with 1,000 hours of content at GlobalWrestlingNetwork.com. There is a 30-day free trial available and the price point after that is $7.99 per month

The service will be available on iOS and Android platforms and they state it will be coming soon to Roku, Xbox, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV.

The service will also include the weekly episodes of Impact after they first air on television in the United States, Canada, and the UK, as well as episodes of Xplosion and weekly digital content produced for the service.
Small warning to those interested since the service itself might still be vulnerable with handling personal info.

Ibushi defeated Tanahashi in this summer's G1 Climax to set up him challenging for the title at Power Struggle.

Will Ospreay's first defense of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title will be at Power Struggle as he faces a familiar rival in Marty Scurll, with Toru Yano set to challenge Minoru Suzuki for the NEVER Openweight Championship at the show as well. Both of those title matches were set up at KOPW.

NJPW has yet to reveal the full lineup for Power Struggle, but it will also feature the finals of this year's Super Junior Tag Team Tournament. KUSHIDA & Hirai Kawato, Sho & Yoh, Dragon Lee & Titan, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI, Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado, Ryusuke Taguchi & ACH, and Taka Michinoku & Taichi will be the teams in the tournament.

Might end up as the most expensive guest appearance in Mania history unless WWE gets him for very cheap. Current record is Mayweather since his rumored cost was around $20 million for Mania 24. Link to the report: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/46500...-wrestlemania/

The current plans are to begin filming in the Spring of 2018, but that is contingent on getting casting and a final, approved shooting script in place.

In case you missed it, Kalisto was given the spot instead and won the Cruiserweight title.

While our sources haven’t been able to confirm this information officially, an account using the handle @WrestleVotes tweeted today saying Neville quit and most people we’ve spoken with say there does appear to be some truth in that claim.

It’s worth noting that not all wrestlers who ask for a release are immediately granted their request.
