According to this week's Observer Newsletter, a major news outlet supposedly has been working on a potentially damaging report regarding the JBL-Mauro bullying scandal that scared the WWE when they found out about it.

Likely caused the WWE to speed up buyout talks with Mauro in hopes of it being enough to kill interest in the potential report ever being released. Report itself contained several potentially damaging interviews and right now nobody in the WWE is sure if it will still get released.

Meanwhile, WWE is rumored to want to take the bullying saga and try to spin it into a positive for the company similar to what was done with the Warrior Award. Idea would be to convince Mauro to come back in the future and act as an official company spokesman for mental health awareness. WWE itself would also try to act as if they were always aware and supportive to those with mental illnesses.
