Lucky you. I got smartened up before that by complete accident.

Saw a live show in my hometown around 88-ish. The Rockers were still together and Ultimate Warrior was on the card. That weekend on Superstars, I pretty much saw nearly every match I watched that night, right down to Sgt. Slaughter trying to argue with the ref about his opponent "pulling my (non-existent) hair", only all those matches were in different cities, none of which were where I was. Kinda put 2 and 2 together, but I also didn't care, I still enjoyed it.
