That's the problem. And it's not "because of the times". It's simply a cop out that folks who don't know what works but think they do say as an excuse.

By all means though, keep claiming that no one should be expected to be as over as the folks in the "Attitude era". Like it's some kind of unrealistic ideal. No one could be Austin or Rock, sure, that's a given, but the main event folks (i.e., folks holding "world" titles, like Bliss, etc.) of today, if they're truly over and talented, should be getting over as well as the low or midcarders of that era were, and no one on the roster now who is truly full time is even close to the midcarders or even most of the lower card guys.
