Someone posted earlier that about his wife dropping the charges, doesn't matter if she refuses to cooperate or to testify against him. You have two statements that were submitted by eyewitnesses. He's screwed. Once you have eyewitnesses in an assault case, even if the victim refuses to cooperate, the state has picked up the charge and its no longer the victim pressing charges. The state doesn't need her to convict him. The statements of the two eyewitnesses alone will be enough to convict him.

He hasn't been released yet because WWE's Conduct Policy requires that the matter be resolved in some manner before any action is taken against talent regarding the cancellation or termination of their status as an independent contractor with World Wrestling Entertainment.

The false imprisonment charge if you look at the police report is a felony as well. He's looking at some serious time if he were tried and convicted. He's not stupid so his attorney will plea it out.

They'll drop the felony false imprisonment and he'll plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of spousal abuse/domestic violence, be required to complete a batter's intervention course, and likely fine/community service. There will be a no contact order with the victim as well and he'll be place likely on supervised/unsupervised probation for a period of time.

Regardless the outcome of plea deal or guilty finding, likely WWE will be terminating his contract with them.
