If he is one of their best heels, he, IMO, should be prominently featured. He easily outdoes anyone in that current role.
This seems like one of those things where the message gets lost because you didn't like the choice of words.

He wasn't calling Miz a glorified jobber, he's saying that's how WWE is using him. Which carries merit.

Seriously, any recent Miz feud has been the following: Miz gets offended that he isn't the focus anymore against [insert protagonist here]. He has a promo joust for a few weeks. He does a sneak attack during one of them to come out on top. He loses the match - and thus, the feud - against [insert protagonist here]. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

He's at a point where it isn't like the losses exactly hurt him, but at the same time, he's in "you know where this is going" territory. It's formulaic. Wins and possibly some sort of title run would even freshen that up a bit.
