I'm not entirely sure Rusev is losing at Extreme Rules. Styles seems much more likely, but it's the WWE Title. They put it on Jinder Mahal. Rusev is also apparently helping Kane campaign. I can see SmackDown becoming the show designed to put over Kane's mayoral ambitions. Kane & Bryan as Tag Champs and Rusev as WWE Champion. It wouldn't surprise me if they brought back JR for commentary since he's also doing appearances on the trail for Kane. Okay, that last one is a stretch.

I suspect that they will go to Styles vs. Joe at SummerSlam, but if Rusev wins my jaw isn't going to hit the floor, and the justification will be there.
