The story of Taker "passing the torch" so to speak to the new locker room leader of the next generation would have been great a few years ago given the backstory of Taker being the first man to congratulate the "new kid" Cena after his first match in the company.

Now Taker's had his "retirement" moment already and Cena's becoming a part-timer who's kinda moved on to bigger and better things. So that moment is long gone. Really, there's not much of a story to be told here anymore.

But again... as someone who has been content to sit back and watch the world burn basically, HILARIOUS if WWE renders the end of last year's WrestleMania meaningless. It would just be the most WWE thing they could do.
