Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live today that Vince suspended Titus to send a message to the locker room, that they need to stop "messing around" and be professionals. Word is that there have been several talents who have "been riding the line" in terms of following the company rules lately.

Vince wants WWE to be a professional organization and it was explained to Alvarez by a source that while Titus was just messing around with Vince, it was "one messing around too many" and Titus was used to make an example, and was the fall-guy.

WWE officials do like Titus and with John Cena out, he is their number one guy for work in the community. They broke The Prime Time Players up so Titus could be pushed as a singles star. While it wasn't acknowledged on TV, Titus went undefeated for almost three months until the loss to Adam Rose on Monday. No word yet on how the suspension will hurt any future push.
Some details regarding the sudden Tidus suspension. Also it appears the suspension got reduced to 60 days which means it ends the week after Mania.

There’s significant concern within WWE over top Superstars John Cena and Roman Reigns, and their merchandise sales. Cena’s merch sales are said to be way down from one year ago and WWE is worried about that because Roman Reigns isn’t connecting with fans like they want. Reigns’ merchandise numbers are coming nowhere near where they need to be to make up for the loss with Cena.

WWE officials are worried that Cena’s audience is growing older and becoming less interested in his merchandise, and he’s not doing as well with kids as he has in recent years. WWE has always kept Cena as a babyface, mainly because of his strong merchandise numbers, and this wasn’t reported by a source, but it was speculated that maybe this could lead to Cena finally turning heel.

The drop in Cena’s merchandise sales has caused WWE Shop to be overstocked on his designs, which is why they’ve had more sales as of late.

With all that said, Cena is still WWE’s biggest merchandise mover but officials are really hoping the WrestleMania 32 push for Reigns works because the feeling is that there’s no one else on the roster that can help fill the Cena void, at least in terms of merchandise.
Assuming the whole thing is true, WWE is finally starting to feel the real negative effect from years of revolving the whole company around just Cena. http://www.dailywrestlingnews.com/jo...igns-and-cena/

So at this point there doesn’t appear to be an idea what the situation is with Undertaker unless Cena is going to make it back by then. Owens pitched real hard backstage for the Undertaker match but that also isn’t happening
Update to Taker's Mania plans which now has both Strowman and Owens out as possible matchups. WWE still hoping Cena might return in time for a possible match against Taker but other than that, WWE still undecided on what to do for Taker's match (if it even happens now).

But this pretty much forces them to use Eddie Edwards as a single, or get a new tag team partner, and the long-term plans for the Wolves vs. Beer Money have to be put on hold
Update to the recent Richards injury news for TNA. Turns out it was a lot worse than expected.
