According to Variety, Sega is in the process of finding studios willing to make films and tv shows based on several of their games.
Quote:
Variety reports that the long-time publisher/developer has hired Evan Cholfin, from Stories International, to adapt Sega’s gaming IPs into movies and TV Shows amongst other mediums.
Sega’s historic catalog of iconic franchises, which spans roughly 30 years, leaves Cholfin and Sega a plethora of content to choose from. Leaving out mascot Sonic The Hedgehog, live-action or animated adaptions of Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Rise of Nightmares, Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter and Golden Axe are in the works.
