Yeah, but none of those authors were around to say 'no.' So JMS is full of shit.
Plus, there's a big difference between doing an adaptation and just saying "Hey, we're taking your story and slapping a bunch of extra bullshit onto it, and there's nothing you can do about it. So nyah."
