The best Backlund match to look up would be his 1980 Texas Death Match against Ken Patera.
It's ridiculous to say this about a guy who held the belt for 6 years, but as time passes, Backlund has become very under-rated. The problems is, Backlund is a pretty humble guy, meanwhile you have Graham and Larry bashing him constantly. Perception is that Backlund sucked, which is crazy.
